Farewell from Gesher

Thank you for reading our Blog! We are leaving on Wednesday so it is our last day in Chug Blogging, but we are looking forward to Maccabiah tomorrow!

Peulot Erev (Night Activity): Harry Potter Night

Almost every night, Edot participate in a peulot erev, or night activity. One of the night activities last week was a Harry Potter night, which Gesher, Abirim, and Machon participated in. The following posts are about the Gesher bloggers reflecting on the night.

Before Haggadah, there was a Harry Potter event. My Machon buddy was Eitan. The stations were based on Harry Potter. The event took place on the tennis courts. My favorite station was the wand making station. Harry Potter is really entertaining. -Adam

From the Harry Potter Night I remember getting prizes! -Charlie

Adam, Charlie, and other campers enjoying Harry Potter Night.

Before Haggadah we had Harry Potter Night. We had a Machon buddy. My buddy was named Gabe. We had activities like Egg on Spoon and Wand Making. We were also asked a lot of Harry Potter trivia questions. I really liked the activity. It made me think of the Harry Potter movies. My favorite Harry Potter movie is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. -Tobey

On Thursday night, we had a Harry Potter themed carnival. We had a bunch of stations. There was a moon bounce, wand making, balancing an egg on a spoon, and finding M&Ms in a bowl of flour.            -Russell

Gesher Overnight

Last Thursday night, we went to the Gesher Treehouse. We went there and grabbed our stuff and layed out our sleeping bags. Once we were settled, we did meditation. The next morning, we packed up our stuff and walked back down to breakfast. By the way, we had waffles that morning.  -Tobey

On our overnight, we had a good time. Unfortunately, there was no room, and it was cold. But it was still a good time! - Charlie

On thursday night, Gesher boys went on haggadah, our overnight. We took a hike up to the treehouse and there we found a place to put our stuff. Then we went to bed. The next morning we woke up and went straight to breakfast. - Russell

The treehouse overnight was uncomfortable, dark, and cold. Thursdays are fun!!! -Adam

Favorite Parts of Shabbat

Last Friday was our first Shabbat of the session, and we had so much fun! Here are some of our favorite parts of the weekend:

FREE SWIM!! ~ Charlie

My favorite activities to do are free swim, Friday night dinner, Saturday morning breakfast, and Saturday night bunk activities. ~ Russell

My favorite thing that I did last Shabbat was listen to the story that we heard on Shabbat afternoon. The story was about a famous violinist that had a show with thousands of people who paid thousands of dollars to see him. The next day, the violinist went down to the metro and wore a baseball cap. He played, but no one cared because no one recognized him as the famous violinist. The story had a good moral, and the popsicles were so good! ~ Tobey

What We're looking forward to at Camp Ramah

Tobey is looking forward to the overnight at the Gesher treehouse
Charlie is looking forward to mudhugs when he is in Machon
Russell is looking forward to Maccabiah if there is Maccabiah for Gesher and Shabbat meals.
Adam has no idea what he is looking forward to so it will be a surprise.
